AI – The #BraveNewWorld is around every corner

Intensive AI training continues … and I am just loving it, but this is not just a wave of change this is going to be a biblical tsunami.

I am fascinated but yes I am afraid, as the more I am learning from those that know so much, the more I am exposed to what they don’t know and the more I am aware of their fears!

“So dramatic Andre!” … Actually no, not at all…

1) This is a genie that is already out of the bottle and you really have to understand that nobody can put the AI genie back! It’s already too late and I could write a load more about that, but the fact is it is already acknowledged by many who know so much about AI that there are no reliable measures to take control of it. Humanity and everything else with it, is already in ‘unchartered’ waters, like Christopher Columbus heading west into a great unknown.

2) The level of AI we can all use, is going to be like handing out starter packs of cocaine! As you use it you are going to want more. More importantly within only the next six months, a base level of AI use will be ubiquitous as it will be embodied into software you use on a daily basis. Your choice is already removed and it is already being catered for in software you are using but you are probably not even aware of it. All ‘good’ software that is being maintained with upgrades are releasing updates with integration into AI because the developers know their products will otherwise be redundant.

3) Those with dark intentions, like scammers and politicians are going to have a window of opportunity none of us are prepared for. This again another topic I could write a very long post about. Please embrace two factor authentication on ALL your accounts immediately and start to reduce the number of apps you use and accounts you have. Everything IS a vulnerability, so treat everything AS a vulnerability.

4) Democracy as we know know and understand it, relies on people being able to inform themselves and reaching some level of reality based on what is true. Well, truth is fast disappearing as we enter a post truth tribalism. Already it is the opinion of many very astute and qualified observers that we have entered this period. Just wait for the drama of the next US elections! We will have to doubt everything we hear, that we see and experience. All our senses will all be targeted.
